John Deere BN starts easily and runs very well, nice
and smooth. It is mechanically good. It steers easily and shifts
and drives correctly in all gears. The rear tires are decent and
usable. The powershaft and the hydraulic lift and rockshaft both
work as they should. It was originally a BW but a previous owner
changed it to a BN front end (the front fork is actually the heavier
fork used on A or G tractors). If interested, I do have a BW wide
front end available for separate purchase. It has the original
6 volt generator, which is not charging the system and currently
has a 12 volt battery for starting. The sheet metal is very good.
